The practical questions begin inside the facility. Which utility and process readings are needed? Who will maintain the system, and how will the team use the information? Answering those questions helps define the monitoring scope before an application is prepared.
Our follow-up covered application feedback and the requirements manufacturers need to understand when planning an EMIS project. Metering, training and data retention all affect how the system will fit into day-to-day work.
